How does the AI recipe generator work?

You list your ingredients, time and any diet needs. A language model served through Vercel AI Gateway writes one complete recipe that uses mainly what you listed, with at most three extra items marked “(buy)”.

Is it free?

Yes, with a fair-use limit of a dozen requests per 10 minutes per visitor so the service stays free for everyone.

Can I trust AI recipes?

Treat them as a well-read friend’s suggestion. Our assistant is instructed to include USDA safe internal temperatures and respect allergies you list, but always use a thermometer for meat and check labels yourself.

Does it store my ingredients?

Your pantry stays in your browser. The ingredients you submit are sent to the AI only to generate the recipe; we do not keep them.
