Data Collection
What We Don't Collect
- No user accounts: We don't require registration or login
- No server-side storage: Your data never leaves your device
- No tracking cookies: We don't track you across websites
- No personal information: We don't ask for names, emails, or phone numbers
What We Store (Locally in Your Browser Only)
All data is stored in your browser's IndexedDB database:
- Pantry inventory items
- Recipe favorites and history
- Shopping lists
- Budget tracking data
- User preferences and settings
- Leftover tracking
Important: This data stays on YOUR device. If you clear your browser data or use a different device, this information will not be available.
Third-Party Services
Analytics: We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how people use our website (page views, navigation patterns). This helps us improve the app. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Advertising: We display ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
AI Features (Optional): When you use AI-powered recipe suggestions, your ingredient list may be sent to our AI provider (Vercel AI Gateway) to generate suggestions. This is only done when you explicitly request AI features.
Your Rights
- Data Export: You can export all your data from the Settings page
- Data Deletion: You can delete all your data from the Settings page
- No Account Needed: Since there are no accounts, you're always in control
